The Paradox of Our Modern (Dark) Age
By Edwin L. Young, PhD

We are living in a neon lit Dark Ages.

The brightness of the neon signs

glowing from our success

have blinded us to the darkness

surrounding and permeating our culture

and impelling us to look up,

to ascend, to be king,

of that "shining city on the hill."

Finally, at our last hour,

we see

it is, was, just

a shallow,

empty,

tinsel town,

and then plummet
into the
abyss

of
Darkness.

The one from which we had been perpetually, hopelessly running.
