The Tombstones of the Gulf Foreshadow the Earth as a Graveyard

Like tombstones ascending through the murky, soiled sea, the mammoth oilrigs, dredging up dinosaur energy, have become foreshadowing epitaphs for the remainder of our earth and for us.

Now, paradoxically, they seem almost to be commemorating the dying underwater wonder world.

Then, who will write and what epitaphs will they write upon our skyscraper tombstones when the whole earth is a slough of pollutants and pockmarked from lethal peacemaker bombs and when the Glocks of Time have gunned down our species.

Perhaps our epitaph will be written in dirges and elegiac verse by whatever baffled species survived and evolved and then, like our own archaeologists, dug up the wreaths of our havoc that had long ago spread like wilted funeral sprays encompassing the globe.
