The Media and Enslavement by Proxy

A few days ago, when the CES* was in full swing, TV was reporting that Cell Phone research found that they prevented Alzheimer’s disease. Oddly, none of the vast research that did not reach or reached opposite conclusions was not reported simultaneously and contiguously. Is this a result of the media’s lack of access to scientific experts, was it simply laziness and lack of due diligence, or was it collusion? All possibilities equally considered, my opinion is that TV is not a reliable source of information, whether from sins of omission or commission. Plus, is it just a coincidence that the pool of potential Cell Phone buyers among people under sixty years of age has dried up. Ever unscrupulously scanning the population, was this the entrepreneurial meister-marketers surreptitious promotion of Cell Phones to the relatively untapped, not-so-hip, elderly population who skittishly harbor fears of Alzheimer's disease?
This Huffington Post article summarizes the many pro and con research studies, mostly con, from the last decade. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-mendelson-md/your-cell-phone-will-not_b_416588.html
We are living in an age of “shoot from the hip and don’t ask questions later.” Instead of just ‘buyer beware’, we should add ‘watcher beware.’
Our modern public is at the mercy of the highest bidder for air wave time. As with Goebbels, the master propagandist, if you can afford it and are willing to have your party line and advertizing lies repeated often enough, loud enough, and with the right version of rabble-rouser vernacular, you can have the general public in your pocket and you in their pocket books. Such is the dubious genius of our slack slander and libel, fraudulent information, and false advertizing laws, and the crooked brilliance of our free enterprise system. And, while I am at it, I must include in that ignoble ‘louse list’ corporate law, especially contract law, and exemption from liability law.
So, when you hear politicians (lawmakers) using ‘our freedom’ as the rationale for all of the hideousness they condone, immediately translate that into ‘freedom to be exploited’ or ‘enslavement by proxy.’
From hot off the wholly justified paranoid press,
