Natural Systems is an approach that seeks to find solutions to problems across a spectrum of individuals; couples; families; neighborhoods; public school; mental health; and juvenile justice correctional institutions; public policies; large and small organizations, and many other types of organizations.　 At the same time, it takes into consideration perspectives on past and future time.　 Natural systems uses current scientific knowledge in the fields of sociology; mental health research and treatment modalities; psychology divisions such as social and evolutionary psychology; management; economics; systems theory; linguistics and psycholinguistics; neurology and neuropsychology; biology; demographics; anthropology and cultural comparisons; history; futurist studies; and whatever else may be relevant to the problem under consideration.　

Natural Systems is not averse to using results of our technological genius.　 One of the main reasons why it is called ‘Natural’ is that it attempts to study and solve problems by integrating factors across spectrums, by levels, from the most global external structures and systems through the most micro internal, psychological structures and processes.　 In other words, it is a holistic, multidimensional approach.

Before human societies and their organizations and people were taxonomized, organized, measured, regulated, compartmentalized, systematized, computerized, segregated, commoditized, certified, officialized, and ending finally with social organizations becoming ossified en extremis, we humans related to each other in a face-to-face, intuitive, holistic way.

We cannot go back to those earlier pre-industrial, halcyon days and should not do so.　 Instead, the way forward is to master the art of thinking and relating to all of these sudden developments on a multi-level, multi-dimensional, integrated, personal, neo-holistic manner.　 In doing this, we can begin to recapture the personal and communal aspects or values that have been lost in this mad rush into modernization.　 We must recapture the humanness of being humans and overcome our transformation of each other into things and of our lives into the frenzied pursuit of and immersion in things.　 Resisting the magnetic draw toward the immediacy, receptivity, and thoughtlessness of our myopic, narcissistic, now oriented, easy-button, depersonalized culture just to learn to think in a methodical, holistic, natural systems way is a challenge we must not fail to meet.　 Natural Systems is the neo-holistic way of thinking and relating.

What does this have to do with electing Dennis?　 It appears to me that Dennis thinks and lives the ‘Natural Systems’ way.　 The problem is that his way does not appeal to the populace in the way that the rest of the candidates do.　 The rest of the candidates have been groomed by the media moguls, the bedfellows of the large corporations such as insurance and defense.　

Not unexpectedly, these candidates have groomed their own political personas and their campaign strategies for a media fashion show.　 This, of course, is exactly what the giant corporations want.　 They want what they and their lobbyists are paying for.　

Regardless of how much we, the Dennis fans, would want it to be otherwise, the deck is stacked against us.　 Why?　 Because Dennis primarily appeals to intellectuals.　 Intellectuals, by themselves, will not sway an election.　 Consequently, I wrote the blog "Turning Red States Blue for the 2008 Election".

Intellectuals, with the souls of true democrats, want what is best for the poor and disadvantaged, for the rest of the nations, and for the earth, just like Dennis.　 Why not, then, rally the largest group of potential voters, the group that intellectuals have compassion for, the poor, exploited, disadvantaged, disenfranchised and resigned to be hopeless, and try to get them to see that they are the only hope for Dennis and Dennis is the only true hope for them.

Working hard to get this huge reservoir of potential voters to register and vote for someone who finally is their champion, Dennis Kucinich, is as I see it the only realistic hope for his election.
